Michael Quiring, MPH
Michael Quiring is a Community Health Analyst working in Lane County’s Tobacco Prevention and Education Program. He earned a Master of Public Health degree from the University of Arizona and was inducted into the university’s honorary society in public health. During his graduate studies, Michael was a fellow with two separate nonprofit organizations doing work in humanitarian aid and active transportation.
Prior to joining Lane County Public Health, Michael had been working in the field of global health for six years. Michael served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Tanzania completing projects related to science education, health, and agriculture. After his service, Michael went on to work with a local Eugene nonprofit managing nutrition and health programs in multiple countries. When he is not working, Michael enjoys spending time outside with family and friends preferably hiking, camping, and fishing.
