CATCH: Coordinated Approach To Child Health

| September 16, 2017

CATCH is a school-wide program that has demonstrated effectiveness in preventing obesity, and providing a foundation for a healthy lifestyle for kids and communities.

It is based on the CDC’s Whole School, Whole Community, Whole Child model which brings schools, families, and communities together to support youth in developing a healthy lifestyle.

Lane County’s Prevention Program is partnering with Trillium Community Health Plan to bring this program to Lane County elementary schools that are participating in the BMI Surveillance project.

In order to implement this program in your school, through Lane County Prevention/Trillium Community Health Plan, your school must collect and submit BMI student data. To learn more about how to bring this into your school, contact Michelle Hampton .
